Sunfield Welcomes New Teachers Lesa Sevin and Koshalla Flockoi
First-grade teacher Lesa Sevin
Lesa Sevin describes her life as “a full life of work and creativity, living in a natural setting.” She comes to Sunfield with rich and varied experiences as an educator, a homesteader, an artisan, a puppeteer and storyteller, an entrepreneur, and a mother. We are fortunate to have Lesa join the Sunfield community, and we look forward to the many talents she will share with all of us.
Kindergarten teacher Koshalla Flockoi
Koshalla Flockoi, who “had the great fortune to attend a Waldorf school” when she was a little girl, leads the children in the Sunflower Kindergarten, Monday through Wednesday.* Koshalla brings joy and passion from her childhood experiences as a Waldorf student and her later experiences of studying drama and music. Having worked as a substitute teacher for our kindergarten classes during the past school year, Koshalla is already acquainted with many of our families, and knowing her exceptional abilities, we are all delighted that she is now joining us as a permanent full-time teacher.
To read Lesa’s and Koshalla’s biographies, see Faculty & Staff.
*Former kindergarten teacher Ruth Mandelbaum-Pope is now taking the second/third-grade class, and Molly Stebbins, former kindergarten assistant, is now the lead teacher for Sunflower Kindergarten on Thursdays and Fridays.
